PLANTSKYDD DEER REPELLENT

Sure, We Love Bambi, But . . .

DeerPlantskydd Deer Repellent was developed in Sweden in 1991 to protect tree plantings while meeting strict environmental protection standards. It proved so successful that it was brought to North America in 1993, and today it is manufactured in the United States and used by households and commercial forestry operations.

Plantskydd is formulated from bovine or porcine blood and vegetable oil. There are no synthetic ingredients, and it’s completely nontoxic and biodegradable. It repels animals by releasing the blood odor that animals associate with predator activity, and the vegetable-oil binder makes it adhere to plants for long-lasting plant protection—typically 6 months in the winter and 3 to 4 months during the growing season.

Plantskydd has other benefits. It has been shown in tests conducted at Pennsylvania State University to be an effective foliar fertilizer. It is safe to apply around children and pets. It is safe and effective in protecting ornamental plantings and orchard trees. And it has been shown to be effective in repelling not only deer and elk but also rabbits, voles, squirrels, and other small animals.

Plantskydd is available as a premixed liquid, as a powdered concentrate that you mix, and in a granular form for scattering around plantings for protection from small animals.

Title-Product-FYI

Except for wild birds that come to birdfeeders, don’t feed wildlife. In the long run, it’s inhumane, and it can even be dangerous to you and your family.
